organizing & SURPRISES!!

So lets start with how my organizing projects are going... I have 3 of 5 closets done!! YES!!! This was a big project...my closet!! But I got it all done:

1. go through clothes..check
2. go through purses & bags..check
3. go through hair product & make-up and lotions..check
4. go through shoes..check

Next on the list... Reesie's playroom...which I am almost done with!! I went to Ikea this passed Thursday...I was a girl with a list on a mission!! I got some really cool bins for her shelves and some fun wall bins for her art supplies...(this is one of my obsessions.. her playroom..trying to keep it organized and looking nice!)

After I'm done with Reese's playroom..its onto my scrapbooking loft and Reese's closet..wish me luck:).

Now for the surprises:

1. This passed Friday my Brother called and told me that he sold a car to a lady that lives up in Canton, Ohio and that him and dad are going to drive it up to her. But they wanted to surprise mom..so we kept it a secret! Saturday around 12:30 my dad called my mom and asked her what her plans were for the day and if she wanted to go for a ride up to Canton! She was so excited to see my dad and brother! It was such an awesome early valentine's day surprise:) They got to spend Sunday with us and then left today.
   
2. So today is valentine's day and my hubby surprised me with a kindle...I love it!! He also surprised Reese with a heart shaped box of reese cups (she says that they are her favorite!!) and a movie:) We had a wonderful low key valentine's day!!
   

toy story birthday party!

So this past Sunday we had Reese's toy story birthday party ..first of all I was very proud of myself for finishing all my projects I wanted to make for her party:

1. toy story buckets ..check
2. Mr. & Mrs. Potato head gift bags..check
3. banner..check
4. alien boxes..check
5. alien cupcakes..check
6. hamm cake pops..check

I know I'm crazy..but I LOVE doing it! If I could find away to do this for a side job I would totally do it! Reese was so cute when I was making the stuff..she kept saying "oh mommy..I love it..it's beautiful..thank you so much (big hug)!! Well the party was a success..this year we decide to have just one party (last year we had a friend party and family dinner party) we rented out our club house and I have too say it was wonderful having it there! Everyone seemed to have a good time and Reese got a lot of nice presents..she is one very loved little girl:) I have to say a special thanks to Jerry, My Mom and Cindy...for helping my out with the party and taking pictures..you guys are the best:) I will post pictures soon

Happy Birthday to My Reesie:)

Three years ago today Brian and I were blessed with a beautiful & amazing little girl! Its hard to believe Reese is three..time does really fly by!! We love you very much Reesie Cup!! You mean the world to us!!

1. ok ok ok ok...I know i missed last Sunday's post but I was out of town! We went to Baltimore....Brian had a two day work meeting down there and we also visited Mike & Julie (Brian's brother & sister-n-law) We were there Friday through Wednesday.. We has such a great time!! The girls..Ana & Olivia (our nieces) were so excited to see Reese!! It was so much fun watching Reese with them... she was all about mimicking the big girls ....they are 7 and 5. On Wednesday thank god Brian decided to skip his meeting and get on the road because of the weather!! It was terrible in Virgina & Pennsylvania...the roads were horrible in the mountains.. Some Semi's and smaller cars with back wheel drive were having troubles on the road but thank god my car did awesome in it:) It took us about 10 hours to get home instead of 6 1/2 hours..but we got home and SAFE!! I took pictures but I took them on my phone so i don't think I can put them on here..but they are on my facebook page.
2. My Mom has decided to move in with us (until her and my dad decided on a place)..the commute to work from our house is a lot quicker then my grandmas..plus I think she is more relaxed here then my grandmas..to much drama going on with my Aunts and grandma. Reese loves having mama here all the time too!
3. So my to "do list" is well on its way of getting done..I have concurred 2 out 5 closets. Brian has been working very hard on the garage (has much has can be done in this cold weather)..he got for christmas some gladiator organizing stuff for the garage..and started hanging it up..it looks really nice..i should have taken before and after pics! I have lost 3 out of 10 pounds I want to loose:)
4. I have been very busy working on Reesie's b-day stuff...she is so excited for her toy story birthday party:)
5. I got my new business cards and logo done for the salon..so excited! Next on the list..putting the salon on facebook and getting my new software for my computer..watch out the salon is getting techy:)

so that is the latest in the Hoovie household.....

weekly update...

So just I has promised...i am going to be a better blogger!! So this is the first of many of my Sunday weekly updates!!

• Monday: I had to take my grandma to the eye doctor..she has Macular Degeneration..but the doctor has slowed down the process of it though with treatment shots...so she can still see some what. Today was also the first day of Brian's on call..he is on call Monday to Monday..so it is always an interesting week around here when he is on call! Plus he also had to work Monday - Thursday at night too which is always hard on all of us by the end of the week!
  
• Tuesday: I was supposed to work today but when the snow started to fall my clients started calling to cancel their appointments...so I decided this would be a perfect day to start on that organizing list of mine..so the first thing on my list...The Pantry!! It was time to threw away the junk..So when I was done I went to the grocery store and stock up on some health treats!! (working on losing my 10 pounds!)
• Wednesday: After work today I came home and started working on Reesie's b-day stuff...this year she told me she wants a "Toy Story" birthday party..So I was so excited to use my new Toy Story cricut cartridge!
  
• Thursday: Did the work thing this morning then came home and start working on Reese's closet..I got everything out of it and started to go thru things and then Reese came in and wanted to help which meant this project was going to take me longer to do then just a couple of hours!! Later on we had Reese's "We Joy Sing" music class ..which she loves!!

• Friday: Once again I worked this morning..Reese was so excited when I got home....she came running up to me saying "mommy mommy I want to make that" she pointed to the T.V ..Nick Jr. was on and they were showing how to make Zee and Mousse little pillows. So I got on Nick Jr's website and downloaded the instructions..they seemed pretty easy to make..so I told her we would go to the store to get the stuff to make them. She was so excited!! here is the finished product
• Saturday: I worked in the morning then I went with Cindy to do some shopping for a very special dress...we had so much fun:) Then I came home and worked on more of Reesie's b-day stuff..then it was time to RELAXED and watched Despicable Me..such a cute movie
• Sunday: We just relaxed the first part of the day... then My Mom, Dad, Grandma & Vivian came over to go to dinner to celebrate an early birthday for Reese. My Dad won't be here for Reese's Birthday and Vivian will be recovering from knee surgery so we decide to celebrate a little bit early:)
  

New Year...New Goals!!

So we had a very very busy December from hosting a cookie swap to family gatherings to Christmas shopping, working on Christmas projects and having a ugly Christmas sweater new years eve party I am exhausted!! ..I think i am done hosting for awhile (except for Reesie's B-day party..which is coming up very soon!) So I guess there is no time for resting! That's ok...I am not very good at sitting still anyways!! So I have decided that I need to set some goals and stick to them for the new year (well try my very best at least!)
My List:

1. learn to be more techy now that I have my new pink laptop that my wonderful hubby got me for Christmas! please note: I changed my blog background all by myself..huge for me;)
2. Be a better blogger..my goal is to do a Sunday night weekly update ( I am going to try to really stick to this!) and blog any important events too:)
3. ORGANIZE: all the closets in the house, garage (a hubby and I project!), scrapbooking room (got some new things for organizing for Christmas), and Reesie's toys (now Christmas is over and Birthday is just around the corner it's time to go threw the toys!)
4. lose 10 pounds!!
5. paint the living room
6. buy the curtains I want for the living room
7. this a two in one: my mom is making my curtains for the kitchen and dining room and teaching me how to do some basic sewing (Cindy you can come to mom's class too) :)
   
8. organizing all my photos..on the computer and go through all the boxes of pictures I have!!
9. do some updating to my salon: touch up painting, buy some new tables at ikea and hang up my shelves and some new art work on the walls...most important getting computerized all clients information and scheduling are going to be done on the computer now!! also thinking about starting to except credit cards and making a facebook account for the salon!
10. finishing Reesie's baby book and all of my other unfinished scrapbooking projects!! (or at least most of them!!)
11. Completing this list before next year!!...better get started now!! :)
